i knew something was going to happen

the way that the night had begun

the wind’s ghoul roared loudly

branches flew amidst the air

i ran to you as fast as I could

 physically, yes, but you were not there

it was no accident nor a mistake, my friend

that you were called to meet your end

in this life

agony and heart ache prolong their stay

overextend

 

in just one second

eternal sleep

as we weep

loving you from afar

reality checked in the harshest form

foe at first glance

confidant through the end of the internal war dance

 

the moon shines bright for you

come night

hearts flee to the sky

even skeptics believe

needing a reason to achieve

a reason for your heart beat

a reason to grieve

your tender soul, never idle

i’ll take it with me where i go

until we meet again, my friend

in my end

when paradise invites me home

engraved in stone
